Babies have intrigued Susan since she was four years old and her mother's best friend adopted a little girl. This wee creature's cooing and the depth of connection Susan felt with her started her lifelong interest with children and babies. In 1990, she started working with families as a long-term nanny and found that she had a specialty for intuiting the needs of parents and bringing out the best in their children. Twenty-eight years later and after many meaningful relationships and wonderful experiences, Susan entered postpartum doula-hood. Susan loves working with families to help support them in determining and meeting their needs, and gently easing them into their amazing new family dynamic. Currently she may be found skipping her doula feet with the Maternal Instincts team.
